Winterton Care Campaign Group is making good progress to care for Winterton residents.
In a very short time we have set up a Winter Survival Support Scheme for people over 60 who are vulnerable during the cold weather.
We are very grateful to have received assistance from Age UK North Lincs who have provided us with some Winter Survival kits, a £300 donation from Winterton Lions to make up more kits and a £924 grant from Neil Hudgell Solicitors Trust which covers the cost of public liability insurance, DBS checks, snowploughs and more kits.
People in receipt of a survival kit will also be put on the list for snow clearing of their private paths to garages, sheds, bins and access to main footpath. For more details get in touch via email [email protected] or ring 733441.
We are still collecting small tombola prizes or donations towards prizes for the Spring TOMBOLA at the Shopping Village, North Street, Winterton. Your help would be most appreciated. Prizes can be left at Mike Joyce Insurance, King Street. Thank you.
Winterton Care Campaign Group has been pleased to assist Nicky Hutson, landlady of The Butchers Arms, in her endeavour to help the victims of the December flooding. She is still collecting unwanted household items in good condition for distribution in the very near future.
Our campaign group is also getting support from Stuart Maw who will be organising an Elvis tribute event with Memphis on Saturday 14th June at Winterton Community Pavilion. Proceeds to be shared between WCCG and Stuart’s Winterton Winter Support Fund. More details to follow on our new website at www.wccg13.weebly.com. Thank you Stuart for caring so much for your community.
